Join us for Pass the Mic with A. Igoni Barrett, author of Blackass. Barrett’s novel tells the story of Furo, a young Nigerian who wakes up one morning to find that his black skin has turned white -- except for his ass.
Barrett will be joined by Mic staff writer Jamilah King for a conversation about the novel and how satire can provide piercing commentary on the rules of race and identity that govern society.
There will be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions and to purchase the book.
